Contact me in-between your appointments for advice, reassurance and help to ease your worries and anxieties. No questions is silly!
With extra long 1-2hour appointments, we have plenty of time through your pregnancy to discuss all aspects of antenatal education so you feel prepared for baby's arrival into the world.
I will be able to guide you through all aspects of birth to help you create your birth preferences. I will be present at your birth to ensure your wishes are followed and support you if things deviate from your original plan.
Alternatively, you can contact Private Midwives directly and ask for a call with me!
As a Private Midwife I practice completely separate to the NHS. I am able to offer all appointments and blood tests privately at home. I can arrange your scans privately as well.
However, if any complications arise or a consultant is indicated, we may encourage you to use the NHS.Â
Some women may choose to decline NHS consultant appointments and as your Midwife we will have fully informed and individualised discussions to ensure youâre making decisions that are best for you.Â
Some women still access NHS midwives alongside their private appointments with myself, which is perfectly okay đ
Yes. Private Midwives offer three payment plans:
Pay in full.
Spread the cost interest free from booking until the month baby is due.
Payinterest free over 12 months for packages over ÂŁ5000
Please talk to me about your specific circumstances. I would be pleased to share our clinical guidelines with you. I will aim to support all your birth choices if I can. Normally, you can still book a home birth with me if you have a medical condition or you have other health related concerns. I can talk to you about possible plans and options for you.
Technically, you are not âover-dueâ until after 42 weeks of pregnancy. At about 41 weeks I will talk to you about options and choices. I will give you information to make your own choices. I will not pressurise you to do anything you are uncomfortable with. I will still continue your antenatal care until your baby arrives, there is no additional charge.
I will be on call for you from 37 weeks of pregnancy. If labour starts before this I may still be able to accompany to hospital but this cannot be guaranteed. If I am not available, Private Midwives will try to identify another. Please refer to our refund schedule as this goes through all possible scenarios for you.
We are mindful that this is a sad time for you and we will do all we can to communicate with you in a sensitive way. Please see our refund shedule which is in the resource library of our website. This goes through all the different scenarios and explains how much refund you are entitled to.

Hello, Iâm Amie!
After spending time working in the world of fertility, I qualified as a Midwife and have since worked in all areas of maternity care in the NHS, from the hospital wards to community and even in a continuity of carer team. Throughout my career, Iâve accumulated extensive experience supporting births in diverse settings, including labour wards, midwife-led birth centers, and at home.
I am passionate about individualised care and continuity with families throughout the whole of your pregnancy journey. I believe the relationship you have with me as your midwife should be trusting and special and itâs an honour to be able to go through this exciting, powerful and special time of your life with you. I want to ensure you always feel listened to and empowered during your pregnancy and absolutely love that by working for Private Midwives, I am supported to do just that every day for my clients.Â
I pride myself on my calmness and my friendly demeanour. I want you to feel comfortable and confident to make informed decisions around your pregnancy and birth and trust that I am informing and supporting you every step of the way.Â
In addition, I qualified as a Professional Midwifery Advocate in 2022 to further assist both families and fellow midwives. Iâve also undergone specialised training in 3-Step Rewind Birth Trauma therapy.
As an extension of my commitment to sharing knowledge, I manage the Private Midwives TikTok account. So if youâd like to see some videos of me and learn more about Private Midwives, head over to @privatemidwives.
When I am not working, I am a dedicated dog mum to my Golden Retriever Teddy and an avid fantasy book reader.Â
If youâre considering booking care, please reach out to the head office to arrange a consultation with me. I look forward to embarking on this incredible journey together.
